LI.FI has announced a $29M Series A extension, led by Multicoin and CoinFund. Read Here.

Over the past weekend (16-18 January, 2026), we sponsored the largest prize for Encode's Hyperliquid Hackathon in London with over $6,500 in prizes. Dozens of builders showed up, and the result was around 25 submitted projects using LI.FI to power some interesting use cases.
We wanted to take a moment to highlight some of the most interesting use-cases and our favourite projects, which we have designated as our winners for this hackathon, with some honourable mentions.
What it does: Mina is a full Hyperliquid onboarding platform that takes users from any chain to actively trading in one seamless flow, with a beginner-friendly web app, SDK, and CLI. It automates everything from finding the best path, bridging funds, detecting arrival, and depositing straight into a Hyperliquid trading account.
How it uses LI.FI: Mina uses LI.FI as its bridging component to find and execute the best swap + bridge path from 60+ chains. LI.FI handles cross-chain logic while Mina tracks completion and automatically deposits into Hyperliquid.
What it does: HyperGate is an embeddable widget and SDK that lets any app offer one-click, atomic onboarding directly into a Hyperliquid trading account, eliminating stranded funds and manual deposits with great error handling.
How it uses LI.FI: HyperGate wraps the LI.FI SDK to perform the cross-chain swap + bridge, then pairs it with a destination contract call that automatically forwards funds into Hyperliquid. LI.FI powers the cross-chain movement; HyperGate ensures the funds end up usable for trading.
What it does: Delta0 turns any deposited asset into a “stablecoin-like” position by running an on-chain 'cash-and-carry strategy' (long spot, short perp) on Hyperliquid, giving users yield from funding rates with instant deposits and withdrawals.
How it uses LI.FI: Delta0 uses LI.FI bridges to let users enter the protocol from any chain in a few clicks. LI.FI handles onboarding logic onto HyperEVM, where Delta0’s contracts immediately hedge and manage positions.
TAGO Leap (honourable mention)
What it does: TAGO Leap is a narrative-first trading app where users describe a market thesis in plain English, and the platform generates, executes, and manages a fully hedged strategy on Hyperliquid.
How it uses LI.FI: TAGO Leap integrates LI.FI for one-click cross-chain onboarding, so if users don’t have funds on HyperEVM, LI.FI automatically bridges them in before any further actions are carried out.
onLiq (honourable mention)
What it does: onLiq is a mobile-first app that takes users from email → funded account → live Hyperliquid trades in minutes, letting them trade themes, pairs, and directional bets without dealing with crypto complexity.
How it uses LI.FI: onLiq uses LI.FI to handle all swap and bridge steps in the background, so users can fund their account from any chain while the app focuses on wallet setup and trading UX.
