LI.FI Now Supports Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Token (CCT) Standard

Arjun Chand

LI.FI now supports Chainlink CCIP and the Cross-Chain Token (CCT) Standard. This means every token issued using CCT can now be instantly available in our routing.

Chainlink CCIP and the CCT standard are among the most widely adopted interoperability solutions in crypto. They enable projects to issue and manage tokens natively across multiple chains, aligning with the demands of an increasingly multi-chain ecosystem.

More importantly, these tokens leverage the burn and mint transfer mechanism through CCT, allowing them to move across chains in unlimited size without requiring liquidity pools to be bootstrapped on each chain. This eliminates a major source of friction and makes cross-chain token transfers both more capital efficient and more scalable.

Thanks to our partnership with Glacis, every token issued through Chainlink’s CCT Standard will be instantly available via LI.FI. This allows our partners to seamlessly access the latest onchain assets, including stablecoins, memecoins, and RWAs, among other assets, without any additional overhead.

At launch, $LINK and $SHIB will be the first CCT-issued tokens added to our routing, with more to follow soon.

Additionally, we can support any CCT token within just a few hours. If your token is issued via CCT and you’d like to integrate it with LI.FI, get in touch — we’ll make it happen.

What is Chainlink CCIP and CCT Standard?

Chainlink CCIP is the standard for cross-chain interoperability. It enables developers to build secure applications that can transfer tokens, send messages, and initiate actions across blockchains. CCIP is built with defense-in-depth security and is powered by Chainlink oracle networks, a proven standard with a track record of securing tens of billions of dollars and enabling over $20 trillion in onchain transaction value.

CCTs are cross-chain native tokens secured by CCIP. The Cross-Chain Token (CCT) standard enables token developers to integrate new and existing tokens via CCIP in a self-serve manner within minutes. CCTs support self-serve deployments with full control and ownership for developers—all backed by CCIP’s defense-in-depth security.

What is Glacis?

Glacis is building an infrastructure platform to unify and secure Web3 for an easier user experience. AirLift, a universal token interface, was built in close collaboration with LI.FI to address poor UX. Glacis’ AirLift removes this overhead for anyone using LI.FI. Any token, any size, anywhere.

What is LI.FI?

LI.FI is an onchain liquidity API to swap, bridge, and zap across all major chains. It provides the most comprehensive price comparison and trade execution across 40+ chains, spanning multiple virtual machines (EVM, SVM, altVMs) and has been integrated by over 400 customers, many of them enterprise companies. It offers the broadest chain and asset coverage, high reliability, and built-in redundancy by pulling from multiple liquidity sources on every chain.
