Primex Finance Integrates LI.FI To Enable Cross-Chain Swaps

TL;DR – LI.FI Is powering cross-chain deposits inside Primex Finance.

Alex C.

We’re excited to announce that Primex Finance, the first fully decentralized spot margin trading protocol, has integrated LI.FI’s widget! With the integration, users can execute seamless cross-chain swaps across 15+ leading chains and L2s to get funds directly on Arbitrum and Polygon and start trading.

For example, a user can go from ETH on Optimism to USDC on Arbitrum or any other combination from any chain supported by LI.FI.

This is a huge unlock for Primex, as USDC is one of the collateral options used to place trades. Additionally, a user might not have funds on Arbitrum or Polygon, where Primex is currently launched, LI.FI allows users to take any existing asset on 15+ chains and move assets seamlessly to Arbitrum and Polygon.

Primex leverages LI.FI’s stack of 36 DEXs and DEX aggregators, including industry leaders such as Uniswap, 0x, 1inch, OpenOcean, Sushiswap, and more to ensure users get the best swap rates available. Additionally, 14 bridges, such as Across, Stargate, CCTP, Allbridge, and Connext, power the seamless movement of assets across chains.

We’re thrilled to partner with Primex Finance to abstract away the complexities of the cross-chain universe. Try out cross-chain swaps on Primex here.

What Is Primex?

Primex Finance is a non-custodial prime brokerage protocol that connects lenders with traders, empowering traders to amplify their trading positions with leverage on popular decentralized exchanges, or DEXs, such as Uniswap, Balancer, Curve, and more. On Primex, traders can also benefit from CEX-like trader tooling and interfaces.

Primex Finance aims to solve the following problems:

  • Fragmentation of digital asset markets - Primex is an EVM-compatible cross-chain protocol integrated with multiple DEXs, which aggregates multiple liquidity pools to optimize the trading experience.

  • Overcollateralization in DeFi - Primex allows traders to seamlessly borrow liquidity and amplify their spot trading positions without overcollateralizing their loans.

  • Centralized trade execution (order books) is still present in DeFi - Primex uses a network of special instances called Keepers to execute trades when certain price levels are met, rather than relying on centralized trade execution mechanisms/back-ends/order books.

  • Limited availability of assets for margin trading on existing non-custodial platforms - Primex integrates with multiple DEXs, giving traders unlimited access to a variety of assets for leveraged spot trading.

  • Accessibility - Primex is designed as a completely open DeFi protocol for spot margin trading, making margin trading accessible in regions with constraints or limitations related to derivatives trading.

What Is LI.FI?

LI.FI is a middleware solution connecting 20 EVM chains and Solana via 12 bridges, 25 DEXs, and 5 DEX aggregators (and growing).

LI.FI’s product portfolio features sophisticated white-label B2B solutions that not only allow same-/cross-chain swapping capabilities but also grant arbitrary contract calls for the implementation of advanced cross-chain strategies such as yield aggregation, LP-zapping, NFT purchasing, and many more. We believe Web3 needs to be made available for not only the next Billion users, but for the next million developers to build on it as well.

Our SDK is the ultimate cross-chain money lego for dApps to build on top of or plug into themselves.

  • We've integrated multiple fallback bridges + DEXs so that you don't have to

  • We maintain bridges + DEXs so that you don't have to

  • We choose the best bridges based on our research so that you don't have to (positioning ourselves neutral)
